Save the Date

I have the honor of designing one of my favorite couples' Save the Dates! (How exciting!) I proposed an idea and we went on a mini excursion with their dogs to take photos for their Save the Dates.

The guidelines were:

1) Incorporate the dogs
2) Fun, classy & unique
3) No cheesy photos of them

Knowing they are into the damask theme and that Lanny really likes filmstrip style Save the Dates, I began working on the Save the Date with these guidelines and damask in mind.

Below are some photos from the shoot and the final product. Enjoy!

Rybread

Our neighbors opened a sandwich shop a few blocks away at 2319 Fairmount Ave. and we decided to check it out.

They named all of their sandwiches after places they visited together on a road trip, with the exception of the Rybread sandwich (below) which is a crab cake sandwich, but light on the breadcrumbs. I LOVE this sandwich! Hopefully next time I can bring myself to try another one of their savory creations instead of indulging my taste buds in the Rybread again!

The chalkboard menu makes such a nice touch!

A Fluffy Day

Went to a pet adoption event in Northern Liberties with a few friends, including Fluffy's owner. (Fluffy is the shih tzu mix and he is male. Yes, his name is really Fluffy.) We didn't bring Fluffy with us because his owner had given him a bad haircut the day before and his forehead was nearly bald!

We expected to see plenty more pets around than we actually did, but the furry friends that were there were absolutely adorable.

Fluffy does not approve of his hair cut.

..but he has hope his hair will grow back!

Morning View

Much to my delight (and his misery) my boyfriend surprised me with tickets to a show at the Merriweather Theater in Maryland! I was extremely excited and surprised, since I know he does not like Incubus.

The first time I saw Incubus, my favorite band, was at Festival Pier in Philadelphia in August 2007 and they were absolutely riveting in concert. Not every performer can compare to their edited tracks when they are performing live, and Incubus more than blew me away.

Needless to say, Incubus did it again! They played mostly tracks from their Morning View album; chalk another one up for the boyfriend, Morning View is my favorite album!

Cheesesteak & Pho

It my was wonderful boyfriend's birthday so I decided to treat him to his favorite: a Pat's Cheesesteak.

I love pho and fortunately, pho is only a few blocks away from Pat's so I was also able to enjoy my favorite: pho.

He enjoyed his in while I, very much, enjoyed my pho.
